CAPSMan with RB4011 and hAPax3

Hello,

First, I am not an expert in router setup, and use WEBFig to do all the settings.

I use the RB4011iGS+ as my main router and now also have the hAPax3 and hAPax2 as switches and WIFI AP.
Now I wanted to use CAPsMan centrally from the RB4011 router to manage the two WiFi routers.
On the RB4011 a bridge is configured with the LAN ports, as well as 3 VLANs, which are currently not yet restricted to the ports.

My problem:
I can’t manage to set up the Capsman and a Wi-Fi interface on the RB4011iGS+, because it doesn’t find/have a master WIFI interface.
So I cannot find an interface to select on the APs.

I have the following questions:
Is it basically possible to use CAPSMan on RB4011iGS+ to control the other two? RB4011iGS+ does not have WIFI.
Which package is required to manage the ax routers? I am currently using the wireless package as I can only see CapsMan with it.
How can I create a WIFI interface that can be used for CAPSMan?

The procedure is as follows:
RB4011: Wireless-Capsman-Manager: enable, certificates = auto
hAPax3: Wireless-Wireless-CAP, enable, interface = not available, certificate=request

Can anybody please help me, or post some links where I can find a solution?

The following command on the AX3 could help:

/interface/wifi/set wifi1,wifi2 configuration.manager=capsman-or-local

No need for wireless package on the CAPsMAN.

  • Make sure you are running 7.15.1 on all devices and configure through the wifi menu item.
  • Make sure that the CAPses are in CAPS Mode (/system/reset configuration and check CAPS Mode).
