capsmanager in non MT network

Hi!

I have existing network, with no MT routers, that can`t be changed. I want to implement wifi solution based on MT CapsMAN.
I plan to:

  • use RB951G as CapsMAN and two Cap AP devices.
  • internal WiFi network in which clinets get IP adresses from existing windows DHCP server an can access all server resources.
  • public WiFi network with seperated subnet without access to server resources.

I am beginner in RouterOS, so question is - is this scheme possible? If yes than can you please direct me in right way how to configure it? My current thought is to put RB951G in bridge mode and somehow configure separate subnet for public network.

Yes, you can use CAPsMAN just for the configuration of the APs (CAPs) in your existing setup.
