Does anyone know if Mikrotik supports this feature and/or plans to implement it? It would be a very desirable feature for a project we are considering to do that would require us to buy hundreds of routers!
No, currently ROS does not support this. You need to use one of two available label distribution protocols, LDP or RSVP-TE.
+1 would by a crap load if 3107 was implemented
