Dear all,
i bought some nice Mikrotik Products and am trying to comission them during the easter Holidays.
Now i met the following Problem:
The internet is working well on all my devices like Computers or Smartphones, no matter where they are connected to.
But unfortunately only my Router 192.168.88.5 can ping 8.8.8.8 from its conole or do updates from upgrade.mikotik.com. The APs are reporting, that they are missing a DNS service.
Please see attached diagram to understand the infrastructure.
Actually i don’t understand why, as the Router 192.168.88.5 is working perfectly fine and i thought, the AP’s should inherit all Gateway and DNS settings via DHCP.
Note: The thee APs are connected with their LAN2 port, because i tried with WAN/LAN1 first. Using that port i had problems to stream music or connect to devices on other floors of my House, switching to LAN2 immediately solved the Problem.
