Caution Mikrotik hEX PoE lite (RB750UPr2)

Never plug anything in usb port. It can output full power supply voltage during usb power-reset command.

The result is two dead LTE modems.

Screenshot to confirm that.

Is this related?

This equipment should have the same problem, hAP RB951Ui-2nD

@adver:
Can You specify, when this hEX is bought, or other details to clarify that this is the same issue like mine (the other thread) or it is about new device that should be considered as “fixed”?

I bought it two weeks ago, but it can be an old stock item.

I also wish to know, how to distinguish the “new” revision of the board.

If this is a “fixed hardware”, then i have a bad news

Seems they have the same usb dc/dc converter design. So this can be related.

I also have this on the MB, but testing via multimeter shows everything okay. Mine SN is 65B205427BB7.

Was this fixed?

Does the hAP AC (RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT) and hAP AC LITE (RB952Ui-5ac2nD) have the same issue?
Unfortunately I do not have the proper tools to do this analysis.

Hello all, does anyone know if this issue happens on hEX Gr3 as well? Had a usb drive stop responding after RouterOS and firmware upgrade/reboot, and it got me wondering if this is related.

Just as the user above described, I too don’t have the needed tools to test it.

Thanks in advance.
