CCR 1009-7G-1C-1S+ is safe powering on PoE

Dear Friends, Is it safe to power Mikrotik CCR 1009-7G-1C-1S+ on PoE. I want to use Mikrotik GPoE Injector with 24v 90Amp Battery to power it.

Waiting for your recommendation. Thanks for reading.
Regards,

Why wouldn’t?

Would you please illustrate a bit on this? Because PoE port draw little amount of current n will it be sufficient for CCR?
Regards

24V will mean 1,4A power draw at maximum, as long as the PSU (battery in your case) is able to provide that, there shouldn’t be any problems.

According to RBGPOE Specs it can provide up to 2A, so you’ll be within limits.

sometimes It’s not safe to use POE on a CCR1009, and newer gigabit devices.

If you have a long cable and a low starting voltage (running on batteries or 12V) then you will blow the POE port due to the higher amps it will use on low voltages.

even the new devices have problems like the HAP AC, if you use to much power on port 5 it will blow port 1 when using POE IN also.
