CCR-1009-8G-1S-1S+ problems

We installed on one of our clients a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ to work as hotspot and User Manager. After a few hours it started to fail. The failure consist in some different issues:

  • The unit loses admin user’s password. To log into the device it needs admin and blank password. After some reboots it comes back again.
  • User Manager reports error on log: failed to commit transaction: disk I/O error.
  • Unable to write anything to disk:
  • /export filename=xxxx fails to execute
    • Uploading through winbox fails (trying to upload last firmware version)
    • Uploading through ftp fails (trying to upload last firmware version)
    • /system package update upgrade failed
  • User Manager does not work at all
  • /system sup-output does not create a support file

The initial setup was made on RouterOS version 6.13. As sometimes it works after a reboot, I was able to install last firmware 6.15, but the issues still remains. It fails again sometimes after a reboot and sometimes after different time periods working properly.

The latest ROSS 6.16R11 Beta has a fix for that.

I’m having a simillar issue here, using RouterOS 6.43.14.

I’ve checked the changelogs and didn’t see any information about this, is there a solution?

The problem occured on more than 10 equipments and sometimes I have to reinstall RouterOS with Netinstall to boot again.
