ccr 1016 ROS 6.4 OVPN/PPTP issue

hi,
i´am using a ccr 1016 ovpn and pptp works fine can connect traffic is routed and so on.
as soon as i make any config changes to pptp or ovpn service like adding a timeout or switching from ip to ethernet mode the service will stop working.
the only solution is to reboot the entire router once done it works again until other changes are made. i try´ed disabling/enabling the service with no effect.
there is not even anything in the log once the service stopped working.
this is easyly reproduced just configure a ovpn server connect then disconnect change any setting and try connecting again it will not work.
a fix or any help to get this working correctly would be appreciated.

Did this problem go away with latter ROS versions?

to be honest i did not try since i reported it my pptp/ovpn main config is pretty static. So no need for changes. It is also a production environment. seems to be related to ccr routers since on all my other rb´s it works fine that includes powerpc and mipsbe.
