I find my self doing some more network performance testing
I have 7 of these CCRs
My test setup is
2 x CCR - with lots of VLANS. Most are setup as VRRP DGW.
Connected to Dell Stacked 10G switch and Arista 10G switch with MLAG setup.
I have a ESXi host connected with vSwitch0 which has 2 x 10G nics 1 connected to the dell switch and 1 connect to the arista
I have 2 new Centos 6.7 VM’s and the lastest iperf for them
VM - VM
tcp 18-20Gb/s
udp 5Gb/s
VM → CCR → CM
tcp 1.26Gb/s (bits not bytes) [ I believe this is a know issue with CCR and single thread … some thing something. known this from day 1]
udp ~4-5Gb/s … the CPU’s on the CCR max out at 100% << this is new I believe.
Somebody has suggested it might be my setup.
my ccr is setup
- 2 x 10Gb SFP via LACP to switches
VLAN’s of the bonded interface
somebody suggested LACP might be an issue ?
I can’t think of any other way of setting this up
Any one else done UDP testing on these. I know if I push multiple tcp streams to get up to 9Gb so I can live with that.
