CCR 1036 DHCP Snom Phone permanently rebooting

Hello,

since I setup the DHCP Server on our Router we have permanently the issue that some IP Phones permanently rebooting. Today I have a couple of Snom phones with this issue. Last week I had a bounch of Aastra and Avaya IP Phones with this issue.

Normally I have to reboot the router to fix this but this can’t be the solution.

I cannot see why dhcp would cause a voip phone to reboot.

For voip, try setting your ip’s as static.

Will solve most of your voip issues

Unfortunately I have to use dhpc for 3 different types off IP Phones…

I searched several forum post and found inside the cisco forum a post which explains and solved my issue en detail.

Actually I installed 4 subnet on eth05 including the DHCP net, I moved the DHCP server on eth06 and the scope also on eth06. After doing this the phones are working without issues.

But I must confess this was really new to me.. I never had this issues with DHPC inside a small Lan enviroment.
