I have CCR-1036 12G-4S with level 6 license and V.6.33.5 RouterOS . This CCR running with OSPF and OSPFv3,
it was working fine when suddenly the router became hang or unreachable. when i connect with console it’s work fine and the router still running but there is no log in it. so i decided to safe reboot the router and the booting was stuck in “Loading kernel from NAND” status.
so the final way i decided to hard reboot the router. and after that the router was working fine again.
We had similar issue to yours. We are running a CCR-1036 with few bridges, OSPF and PPPoE server with Radius. One night suddenly all the interfaces dissapeared and only the bridge was working. After a software reboot we lost access to it. Then we went there, switched off from power manually and powered it back. Router started ok but was loosing the OSPF connectivity every few minutes. Disabling and enabling OSPF instance helped. The logs were showing a kernel error. The only thing we could suspect is the overheating. The firmware was 6.36.3. We decided to upgrade to 6.37.1 but OSPF was behaiving the same way. The router was very hot on the top. The Temperature was about 40 degrees, cpu bout 57. Fans was working about 4.000 rpm. That night we made more space for the router and the next day fitted another fan inside the rack where ccr is placed. Now the temperature is 26 degrees and the CPU the same and working ok (i hope it will keep working).
P.S.: We also have some huge problems with some routerboards used for wifi clients. They just loose ALL the conectivity, we can´t access them after a reboot. The only thing that helps is a reset and reflash with networkloader.
Yep same symptoms as mine.Sounds like PSU is overheating.
One of the users on here detailed the PSUs on the CCR’s and noted the cooling design was really poor.
