CCR 1036 hangs / not manageable

Hello Guys!

We have installed CCR1036-12G-4S Routers (ROS V 6.20) in our wireless backbone last week. We have a routed network (aprox 2000 routes) with EoIP Tunnels and centralized PPPoE Concentrators.

CCR works, but after a few hour/days I am not possible to connect to the router via winbox. But router is still forwarding traffic.
When I try to connect with telnet I get the Login Prompt, can enter the username and the password. After 30 Seconds hanging router answers with “Login failed, incorrect username or password”.
When I reboot the router I can connect again.

Does anyone habe the same issue? Thanks for your reply.

Best Regards Florian

Here is the outbut of the Telnet Login Screen:

MikroTik v6.20
Login: admin
Password: (100% sure that I entered correct password)
Login failed, incorrect username or password

Login:

did you check the router’s ram and CPU usage during load times? You can use graphing if winbox doesnt work or have it sent to you remotely.

Try blank password.

I have still the same situation. Sometimes randomly routers are not manageable, but still forwarding traffic. We have this in different router OS and hardware versions.

Does really nobody have the same problem?

Best Regards
Florian

Florian.

Try a blank password

If it gets you in, then you will need to netinstall RouterOS 6.18 or newer (6.19 and 6.27 seem to be solid releases) as you are experiencing a known issue with the disk layout on the CCR’s

Best of luck.
