Is that CCR support 10GBase SFP module? Have it a really 10Gb/s or it downspeed to 1,25G? What’s arrive with the SFP3903D?
10Gbit is not supported in CCR1036. Wait for new product CCR1036-8G-2S+
8 Gigabit Ethernet ports
2 SFP+ ports
10G interfaces now possible
16GB RAM model also available
Highest performance MikroTik device ever
Port speed no longer bottleneck, speed 2x
Total port speed 28Gbit
Any estimates as to an ETA or a price?
What about one with 16x or 24x 10GigE ports?
The CPU and switch chipset doesn’t have performance and bandwidth for so many 10Gbps ports.
How many can it handle?
Do they make bigger CPUs and chipsets? :-p
Actually, it looks like the 36 core chip can handle 4x 10GigE and the 72 core chip can handle 8x 10GigE.
The 72 core then also has 96 gigabit of PCIe throughput, so good more another 4x 10GigE.
Tilex also has devices with four of these processors in an appliance, so 32x 10GigE in a box without using the PCIe interfaces, 48 with.
I know of some people that actually would have a need for something this big. If the price scales linearly, a 32x 10GE would cost $8k? That’s one hell of a deal.
Then again, I am by no means an expert on these platforms. I’m just reading their web site.

That big box says it supports up to 100 core processors, so maybe even a bit more than what I stated above?
Anyone know if you can DIY one of these things? Get the parts from Tilera and then load ROS 6 on it? It looks like the big box only comes with the ability for 16x 10GigE, so I’m not sure if that’s a platform limitation or a packaging limitation.

Hey Hammy,
Did you find anymore details regarding this?
Cheers
Chris
I got some guesstimates from looking at Tilera’s web site, but I never got anything official from MT nor Tilera.
