CCR Firmware

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that the latest firmware available for CCR is ‘tilegx_3_04_2’ ? or is there a more recent one?

Thank you

when you install newest RouterOS, the RouterBOOT (firmware) is included with it. Just check in your “/system routerboard” menu.

currently 3.04 should be latest

When i upgraded RouterOS to v6rc9 Mikrotik informed via Forum that it was best to upgrade the firmware and as so i downloaded and upgraded the fw at that point in one of the Lab CCR’s

I was unsure that the firmware was included in routerOS upgrade package i’m already in rc11

The snapshot is from one of the CCR’s that took the manual firmware: ‘tilegx_3_04_2.fwf’

Nevertheless thank you for your answer, that way i won’t bother checking for the firmware since i now know it is included and that 3.04 is the latest.

Hi normis

i would like to know if this ethernet to serial type of cable should work on netinstall?

Thanks

what kind of cable do you mean, and why do you want to use it ?

Normis

my RB1100AH doesn’t boot after downgrading from 5.22 to 4.17, i need to net install but my available cable is ethernet to serial.

Thanks

Hi Tb, i had a similar issue with a RB2011-UAS after downgrading.

Connect via serial cable, use a rolled console cable (or any combinaton that best suits you and the box, with adapters), set baud to 115200 (it was the flavor of the RB) and you should have access to bios options.

Then it’s just a matter of changing the boot to ethernet and have netinstall well configured in a PC via ethernet, if it fails at first, try 10 more times  eventually you’ll be able to flash the box, and if even then if you get a corrupt boot, flash it again.

I have a 2011 that pushed my patience to the max  but it’s happy running v5.24

If you need any guidance to netinstall do visit this link: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Netinstall it guide me in the right path.

Thanks for info men
