CCR Series Hardware Dreams

I see how the port limits are on the tile processors.

I would love to see some products here:

CCR1036-8S-2S+ - fibre ring config with 8 ports to come in

CCR1016-8S-8G - Essentially an 8x media converter chassis in a box if you wanted to use it like that but also a 16 port mixed media router.

CCR1016-4S-12G - Lower cost CCR1036, drops some speed but probably still put through plenty of power for some applications that don’t need all ports full speed (we would use instead of CCR1036 for Handovers to tail providers - gives us another 1036 for main routing performance.

And the holy grail to me, Modular:
The tile processors have port available counts that can be 1 x 10G, 1 x 10G /4 x 1G, or 4 x 1G. I would love Mikrotik to make the 1009, 1016, 1036 (and the new 1072  ) with the right number of module slots for the available segments on the CPU, then you can pick your options. so 10GBaseT or 10G-SFP+ slot, 4 x SFP, 4 x RJ45 - 1G, and then you can insert the right option into the slot and routeros brings up the ports as available to you.

I understand it would be more complex but I can see how amazing it would make the platform. Imaging a CCR1072 with 8 module slots, up to 32 1Gig ports either copper or SFP or up to 8 10G ports again either copper or SFP+.

Or even the 1009 with its three slots, 2 can be either 1 x 10G either option or 4 x 1G either option and the last slot which is only for 4 x 1G either option.

TileGX Gives us the hardware to make it work, would need some code developed and some hardware design for the modules. But these are my dreams for the future of CCR.

And please make some longer distance laser modules, amazing prices, great DDMI, but would love to do longer runs and CWDM with them. Even taking the SFP+ to 20KM would be a great step. But I would love to see what mikrotik can do to disrupt SFP and SFP+ module pricing with a full range.
