I’m CCR1009-7G-1S-1C+PC User.
But this router have very big problems.
Because, The Router CPU Temperature over 60’c hit router’s WAN port not received IP.
This is very big problem. Yesterday, The Router is over heat,
I rebooting Router then router was lost IP. I very nervous. And have much uneasy.
I was using Synology NAS with this router. I work with NAS my job.
Outside NAS not access, i many big problem.
Your do upgrade firmware and can solving this? I already received RMA last month.
I think, RMA twice is not mean. Two router have same problems.
And RMA cost is very expancive. example, money, time, etc.
If ether1(Wan) Port is swiched 100M half, Router ip received but very slow.
When wording detail, Router is start low temperature to high temperature.
But this situation (low to high) has the router’s CPU temperature overheat over 60’C, the router received ip.
However when I ‘reboot’ or ‘disable port from interface option’ in the current situation,
The router can not get ip. Of course, ‘disable port’ next ‘enable’.
To receive the ip again, the router needs to cool down under 60’C and power off.
It has many problems, because inevitable shutdown. example, blackout, firmware upgrade and other rebooting.
Any time when over 60’C overheat and rebooting, I can’t router cool down under 60’C and power off every time.
Especially when I am outside the house. I can not cool down (shutdown) the router directly.
I want to hear this solutions to problems.
I was had other MikroTik Switch and Router have not problem.
Even, CRS326 default temerature is about 80’C.
‘hAP AC’ is works well to more extreme situations
Another problem not occured.
What about the other CCR1009-7G-1S-1C + PC users? Are you have same problem?

Is the environment very warm? I would dare say the obvious of would a standard cooling (non-PC) unit do the same?
Have you “overclocked” the CPU at all? Can you try running the CPU at a lower frequency and see if you get the same? System>Routerboard>Settings
I was not overclocking. The router was setting 1000mhz (1Ghz) Default. Enviroment temperature is about 36’C (in seoul korea) Router’s temperature is 49’C (not cpu it)
Can’t confirm that issue. Just checked some of our CCR1009’s and their CPUs
are operating at around 50-58°C which is absolutely normal for TILE-Gx9 processors.

ccr1009 ‘spec’ temperature. it’s ambient. but i’m cpu temperature.
if cpu temperature 59’C, ambient is very cool.
So, impossible use the router in summer.
the “ambient temperature” tests mean it was running in environment where air temperature was 60 degrees. It means you can safely run it in room where it is -20 to 60 degrees. Your ambient temperature is within this range and your CPU barely go above 60 degrees. That does not sound like overheating because Tile CPU can handle significantly higher temperatures.
Can you explain how you came to conclusion that it is overheating issue?
WAN port is Ethernet or SFP?
Does your router reboot/get stuck or it just does not get WAN IP?
WAN is ether1 port not SFP.
My router will not automatically reboot even if it is over 60’C., Reboot was my handling.
But over 60’C reboot, it does not get WAN IP.
I live in Hong Kong with CCR1009-7G-1S-1C+PC, o.c. to 1200MHz router temp is always above 40C (place it 45degree again the wall) and CPU is 56C at best when idle, it always go over 60C underload without problem.
few things can improve the temp:
try place it 45 degree against the wall, this is the lowest temp position when compare to wall mount or stay flat
use a small usb fan to cool it, every usb fan using less than 300ma is suitable to do it, some even can clip on to the router
underclock it to 600/800MHz, should be enough with 1G broadband with small no. of firewall rules (no QoS)
p.s. when wall mount the router and cpu temp is much higher but don’t have any problem at all
I remember the router will auto reboot when cpu temp reach 100C, you can set it lower yourself
I have disconnection issue few months ago, the link will down if that night is hot, and need to set to 100MB full duplex for stable connection, it usually disconnect at the same time, finally we find out it is the problem of a faulty ethernet patch panel of our building, punch it again solve the problem
Right, i same. If the IP is not received after rebooting at the time of OverHeat,
I also need to set it to 100M Full Duplex to connect. However, the speed is too slow.

Cable is already changed. I was used CAT7 SFTP cable.
Today Right Now, The Router seems to work strangely well.
I will use it well if I do not have any problems in the future.

Router was cool down and get ip.
I don’t know reason. It is complicated situation.

Mine are all quite loaded, in South China (so tropical climate), I don’t keep air con at less than 27C, it stays around 58~60C, I think is normal. Anyone else can confirm ? No overclock, just all default settings (1200 MHz).
