The spec for CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+PC seems to have changed from 9 cores x 1.2GHz CPU to 9 cores x 1GHz CPU.
Did the actual spec change from 1.2 to 1 or merely the listing at http://routerboard.com/products?
passive cooling version operates at 1.0ghz
active cooling version operates at 1.2ghz
Thx, but does not reply the question
It is only default frequency. You can set it manually to 1.2GHz.
Simply with 1GHz it does not heat up as much as with 1.2GHz.
Thank you, I suspected the passive cooling might have had something to do with this.
But have you altered the actual product or has this always shipped out with CPUmax @ 1GHz?
I’m watching the product listings page (to see when the HAP AC comes up) and this was shown a change in the listing.
It was always 1GHz, but it is the same CPU, just clocked lower
Thank you, 100% clear.
Just to add for people who aren’t aware. I’ve been running my CCR1009 at 600Mhz for a while now and performance is still stellar (Easily still more then 10x of a RB2011). I’m using it in a big home setup and really don’t need to the power 1.2Ghz gives.
Most routerboards support this feature! Overclock (with decent cooling) or underclock to suit your needs. ![]()
+1 im running it at 400mhz
