Has anyone had the secondary power cable connected to a totally different elictrical circuit? If the circuit on the secondary power cable fails, will it affect the system?
if cpu1 and cpu2 have power - they will not be affected if 1 or 2 goes down, as far as at least one have power

i have tested, and you can unplug one or another power supply without problem
very useful for example if you need to change the power supply from some receptacle to another without power off the device
and of course if one power line fails
Often you would connect one to the raw line and the other to the UPS output.
So you have power when the line fails but also when the UPS fails.
Of course you need to monitor it so when a PSU inside the router fails you repair it or re-consider your strategy.
