I’m about to order that new CCR1009-PC but i guess performance-wise it’s gonna be similar to old version so if anyone knows answer for old CCR1009-PC please share.
What is single TCP connection performance without fasttrack? No fasttrack, software bridging, firewall between bridge ports, some QoS, few firewall rules. Quite basic setup. Currently I’m using RB2011 and I’m reaching around 16.1 MB/s (~130mbps) with cpu downclocked to 500mhz. I’m going to replace this machine with CCR1009. It’s going to be used by few users as internal network node, mostly to interconnect various data storages so typical scenarios will probably be NAS-like connections between Linux boxes - so single TCP tunnel, high bandwidth, sequential data, big packets. Is 1gbps doable this way? Or do i need to find a way to create few parallel connection to spread load around all 9 cores? Can Linux utilize super-duper jumbo packets of CCR series (which are quite enormous)?
I’ll try to perform some benchmarks once it gets here but I’d like to hear some feedback from other users as well. Single core performance of CCR series seems to be quite controversial topic
