I have 2 CCR1016-12G Routers running RouterOS 6.34.3. Yesterday, our external router’s memory spiked causing it to reboot with an out of memory error. Today, at approx. 3PM, our internal router had the same thing happen–RAM usage went from approx. 300MB of RAM used to 1.81GB of RAM (or all of it) used instantaneously. See screen shot below:
Any ideas on what might cause the memory to spike unexpectedly?
Well…that is unfortunate. I just upgraded to 6.38.3 yesterday to get some run time on these (2) CCR1016-12G routers before our next event in April. Unfortunately, I’m unable to put them under a real load until then…so I’m hoping MikroTik will determine root cause and find a fix before then.
Is there a version that is known not to have these issues? I’d be more than happy to down-grade these to an older version.
Anyone else seeing this behavior? I love MikroTiks but the answer I got was “wait until it happens again and send us a supout file”. I’m trying to guarantee stability when this thing goes live…and that answer and someone else reporting similar behavior doesn’t really give me a warm and fuzzy feeling here.
