I have a problem after uppgrading to anything above 6.34.3
It won’t let me connect via eth1 via a S-RJ01
When I setup my internet Connection under Quick Set
Mode: Router
Address Acquisition: doesn’t matter what i select.
Port: eth1,
but when I select eth1 and press Apply it change it to SFP1
I tried to reset config and tried to restore config, but nothing sems to work.
I tried via console (serial), after I type in eth1 in Setup, it changed to SFP1.
The LED for the port sfp1 (with S-RJ01) blinks as is has activity.
Probably it is best to reset the entire thing to defaults and then upgrade it and put the settings in one by one,
or even netinstall it with reset to defaults.
There must be something that is set in such a way that it crashes when upgrading, a known problem is/was the L2 MTU
being too large (I think the max is 10220) but maybe in your case it is something else.
Of course there will be no problem when it boots without settings.
When I start config after reset via netinstall.
I notice that under DHCP Client.
It was setup to get IP from sfpplus1 (port, that i don’t use)
When I remove/disable the router will recreate/enable it again by itself, as soon as I (under, Quick Set) set:
Port: Eth1
Address Auquisition to: Automatic
Or reboot the router.
It happens even if I disable the port under “Interface List”
the router still create/re enable sfpplus1 under DHCP Client and trying to acquire ip from a port
that I either disable or have nothing connected to.
i connect to the internet via ethernet socket in the wall, but no I cant connect directly to the wall socket
from my router via S-RJ01, I must have a switch in between the socket and the router otherwise the router don’t
show any connection.
But I can connect a laptop directly to the socket without any problems
I suggest that you get in direct contact with support@mikrotik.com
When a router that has been reset to defaults still does not work, there must be something wrong.
