Been using MT since 2.95
Having a serious issue here with the sfp ports to other vendor sfp port (Cisco). We have tried over the last two weeks every possible combination of settings in the sfp. Link always shows on but no RX from Cisco
After each change, I disable then re enable the port. Have also tried rebooting after each change
ccr-auto-neg off 1Gbps full – cisco auto-neg off 1Gbps full then ccr disable port/enable port =No change, link up but no RX
same as above but with half duplex on both sides - No change
tried rate select to low, enable disable no change
We have tried all other settings in Ethernet with no luck
We tried swapping out the sfp’s on both the ccr and the cisco, with no luck
We tried different ports on both the cisco and the ccr - same no luck - link up not rx
We tested the fiber cross connect cable and it is good.
No matter what sfp we try we can see the sfp vendor info and it is recognized but no rx
We flipped the fibers. This was the only time we did not get a link up. So polarity was ok
The Cisco belongs to the Toronto Internet Exchange (TORIX)
All equipment is located in Cologix data center. (costing me a fortune in remote hands as we are in Montreal)
sfp1+ works fine and is connected to Hibernia Atlantic
We are deploying across North America via Hibernia circuits and have bought 10 of these units that we are severely regretting.
