CCR1036 PPTP VPN server issues

Hi

I have setup new CCR1036 12G-4S and am running software version 6.29. I am trying to setup PPTP VPN server. Probelm is when I ‘enable’ the server from the push button in the menu bar nothing happens. By this i mean that it does not show the creation of a new PPTP server in the PPP list of interfaces. I ahve tried to also enable it through CLI but the print tells me the PPTP server is enabled.

If I try connect to the PPTP server remotely the PPTP client says that the server in ‘unavailable’.

I have opened all the correct firewall ports/protocols (TCP port 1723 and GRE on the input).

I have also tried to reboot the the router but this does not help either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to start “fresh”: export your config (if worth) then do a reset to no defaults. Check System > routerboard and make sure firmware is up to date.

Will you be using SFP?

yes am using SFP as WAN

will try to refresh and see what happens

my firmware is up to date, I checked it yesterday.
