I’m trying to determine if the capacity of the CCR1072-1G-8S+ will meet my load requirements.
2 links to my ISP with load balancing (they are giving me 2x 10gbit)
4 links to my core switches all in a single LACP
There will also be a few firewall rules, no more than 10
I will be pushing about 5gbit in and 15gbit out
My concern is that the combination of the 4 port LACP, wan aggregation (load balancing), and firewall will really put a serious strain on the CPU. I know it states a max of 80gbps with 100mpps but I think these are only for pure routing.
Another aspect you need to verify: will you be using queue trees. These are currently limited to 1 cpu / queue tree, and a single cpu won’t be able to handle all that traffic.
To provide priority & QoS, in “limited” bandwidth situations. Limited = less than requested by users / needed for traffic.
Anyhow, it is recommended to use “Simple queues” instead on CCR. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Queue
can you explain it more ? simple queue for what ? I have a little problems with CCR1072, may help me. I cant pass the traffic over 2gb. its seems its like locked to 2gb .
