CCR1072-1G-8S+ Using AC and -48V power supplies simultaneously

Hi everyone, I would like to know if I am able to use 1x hot swappable AC supply and 1x hot swappable -48V DC supply together in a CCR1072. We have been unable to source more than 2 DC supplies and need to provide backup power for 2 CCRs. Both sites have battery backed up -48V DC systems and AC, so I am hoping that I can replace one AC PSU in each CCR for a -48V DC PSU, to provide redundant power should we lose AC power.

Thanks!

Andy

Does anyone have any insight in this?

Yes it will work.

In pretty much all redundant PSU situations, each PSU steps down to board voltage (for most of MikroTik that’s 12V) and the board draws from one or all online PSU’s.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. My only concern was that the DC PSU is a negative rail type. I have done similar things with positive rail supplies with no issue.

In a past life (job) we had some devices with mixed AC/DC power supplies in a -48V environment and I don’t recall any issues.
