About to install a CCR1072 and I see (and hear) that all 4 fans run at about 4500-5000 rpm, even at 39°C CPU temperature.
In /system health in Winbox no buttons/settings available. In CLI I tried to change fan-control to Auto, but it does not change.
I remember same behavior on some CRS device, fans running at full speed, upgrading ROS made them behave reasonably, i.e. almost idle at low temperatures and cranking up when hot.
Tried to upgrade the CCR1072 from 6.45.7 to 6.46 but no change.
Currently, at least there is no risk of overheating, but I assume that fan control will contribute to both reduced fan wear and reduced dust collection over the years…
So how can I employ fan control?
