CCR2004-16G-2S+ shipped with 7.0.4 STABLE is that for real?

I just picked up a new CCR2004-16G-2S+ and the software version on that was 7.0.4 (stable)… is that for real?
Do I keep it?
Is it a real stable?

If I look for stable update it shows me the 6.48.3!

Is it a dream?

Most probably it’s another device-specific v7 release (simmliar to what audience is being shipped with).

The real stable v7 will be 7.1.Y … according to current version numbering used by Mikrotik … versions don’t ever decrease and current v7 betas are 7.1betaXXX.

I have been using the betas since they came out.
I only removed it from a 4011 because it bricked several times without keeping the settings on flash (keep previous configuration on) out of sudden and I moved it back after 3-4 months to 6.48.3.

I was surprised when I show the 7.0x stable

is it stable enough to keep it for the customer? that is the real question !!!

You tell us
I believe you are the first one here to report that you have device on hand

YOU CANT’GO BACK (for now)
DO NOT INSTALL BETA!!! (oh…)
Keep the 7.0.4

will do
cross fingers

Who is that shouty one?

The interesting question of course is: does it have stable subsystems for those that are in beta in v7.1beta?
I mean, does it for example have the stable v6 BGP code instead of the new experimental v7 beta version?

Do you get any reboots ?

Hi,

Used for around 350 PPPoE users and it got rebooted, when around 250 users connected concurrently. Do you have any ideas what was the problem? We had no issue with RB1100 (it only had around 80% CPU, that’s why we upgraded).
