CCR2004-16G-2S+ upgrade or not

Hi, I have 2x CCR2004-16G-2S+ which im planning to put in simple production , just simple static routing and nat, VRRP / MLAG with CRS326-24S+2Q
Should I stay on factory shipped 7.0.4 " (stable) " or were any major bugfixs fixed on 7.1rc6 justifying the switch to a dev branch ?

Thank you in advance

I believe MikroTik is generally recommending 7.1rc6 for most devices now that shipped with 7.0.x stable.

If everything you are doing now is working then I would not recommend to upgrade.
I use a CCR2004-16G-2S+ in production with L2TP/IPSec VPN clients and I haven’t found a definitive answer in the forum yet if the newest 7.1rc7 does not cause the router to reboot when these VPN clients connect.
I also am having quite a few bugs with the newer releases on my RB5009 that support cannot reproduce even though I have provided full configs and extensive insights. So I personally do not have the confidence to upgrade any of my 7 only routers to the latest rc7 unless I need any specific feature of these newer releases.

I am running CCR2004-16G-2S+ 7.1rc6 without problem.
Latest versions are always preferable.

If you are scared by an upgrade, you can wait a few days before upgrading to a new RC and read user comments.

With a new install using OSPF, MPLS and VPLS would you use the CCR1072-1G-8S+ as planned or now look at using the CCR2004-16G-2S+

Just want to ensure version 7 will be fully supported on the CCR1072-1G-8S+ for years to come.
