I’m trying to do a reset according to the instructions here : https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/UM/pages/116555782/CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe, but I never see the red blinking on the fiber ports as described in the documentation. I’ve tried various screwdrivers (maybe the tips were non-conductive?) and even a piece of heavy gauge copper wire.
I solved it!
Necessary: a working card, an eprom programmer with the ability to read bios chips at 1.8v, I used a ch341a The procedure is as follows
Backup the bios of the card that is in operation as well as the card that you bricked.
In the Mikrotik setup, turn on the reset button on the working card and save the settings
Turn off the computer in which you have the working card and backup the bios using the eprom programmer
Flash the bios from the working card to the bricked card
Insert the bricked card into the computer, press the reset pins with a screwdriver and turn on the computer. After the card starts blinking after about 5-6 seconds, your configuration should be reset. After that, the ports should be active again.
Turn off the computer and restore the factory bios to the card using the eprom programmer
I had the same problem and I have all the tools but not the software. Could you kind enough to share the working card BIOS file and the steps to how to flash it? Thanks in advance.
