CCR2004 - High Resource

Please help analyze why my CCR2004 has high resources for the kernel, networking and Ethernet sections, with an outgoing bandwidth of 2G.

Could you explain what bothers you?

All these results depend eg. on the number of firewall rules, NATting etc, so without these details it's hard to even guess what and where the problem is.

Is it normal for 2 Gbps of outbound bandwidth to cause high CPU usage on a MikroTik CCR2004?
What is considered a normal CPU load percentage for 2 Gbps of traffic on the CCR2004?
Currently, whenever CPU usage hits 75%, the internet connection becomes intermittent.

It depends on firewall, natting and other services.
It could be normal, could be not. If you, for example, pass all traffic to CPU then it could be the problem, If you log too many events, it could be. Show the config and we could analyze andy try to find the potential source of the problem.

Now, the situation is like this:

• You say to GP doctor: I sweat way too much that I think I should in my opinion.
• GP doctor says: it depends if you work at desk as a clerk, ride a bike or chop wood all the day. Hard to say ..
• You: ... you do not specify what you do and how often, just ask if intensive sweating is good or bad.

No details means no help.

Yeah this is what i read out of the spec sheet and what i am hoping someone could confirm or deny. Our use case as described above will not use any of those “CPU eating” functions. Just bgp and packet in packet out.

Block diagram shows that all traffic goes through CPU:

Your router almost does not use the marked firewall rule comparing to to SFP+ ports.

Do show exported config as e text, not screenshots. Remove secrets or private data before posting.
