Hello.
I heard from an acquaintance that the newly shipped CCR2004 PC (fanless) version has a USB port. (He didn't have access to the device, so I couldn't ask for a photo.)
It appears the diagram for the current CCR2004 PC version also includes a USB port.
Has anyone actually seen a CCR2004-PC model with a USB port?
(If it does, it would be great because it would eliminate the need to buy the 19-inch model.)

The first release of the 19" model had a USB port. When I bought one I first checked the product page and it listed a USB port in the block diagram. But when I received it, there was a cover plate glued where the USB port used to be. I checked again and it wasn't mentioned in the specs, but still present in the diagram. When I wrote that on the forum they changed the diagram.
The reason seemed to be that the chip they had used for the USB port was no longer available.
It could be that they now reworked the PCB for another chip and the USB port is back, but it could also be that your friend got shipped "new old stock".
We'll see if it comes back to the specs on the website...
The model CCR2004-16G-2S+PC it looks like it never had a USB port.
I also asked local MikroTik distributors, and they too have never seen a PC model with a USB port.
I hope the router my acquaintance saw wasn't some legendary creature. 
When will they have a CCR2006-PC that looks exactly like this but with at least 8 of those ports being 2.5GbE

Over the years, devices with i226 and RTL8125 have been increasing, and 1G is a real shame.
How do I know if I am buying the version with the usb port?
You ask the seller. There is no other way.
According to the web specs for CCR2004-16G-2S+, CCR2004-16G-2S+PC and CCR2116-12G-4S+, all of these models include a USB port.
It looks like MikroTik is bringing USB back on the CCR2004-16G-2S+ but it’s even more surprising (and welcome) that models that never had USB now appear to have it built in. That’s fantastic for containers: these devices have plenty of CPU and RAM, but without external storage, running containers can be pretty limiting. Great correction if the specs are accurate.
What the specs say isn’t very relevant, what matters is what is in the box you receive.
I purchased one on Amazon and it was the old revision without USB. I returned it. It would be great if you could more easily tell the difference. Anyone recommend a place to purchase one in the US?
It’s probably a stock issue. Newer units may include USB, but the seller’s current stock might not. Best to ask the seller. Amazon isn’t the easiest for that.
