I am facing a serious issue with my MikroTik CCR2004 router.
The router is stuck during the boot process and does not proceed beyond the RouterBOOT screen. On the serial console, it only shows the RouterBOOT version and memory summary, after which it freezes.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
-
Performed a hardware reset multiple times
-
Attempted Netinstall, but the router is not detected
-
Ethernet ports are not coming up
-
Tried connecting via SFP with an Ethernet module; the link light appears but there is no communication
-
Winbox cannot discover the device
It appears that the router is failing before RouterOS can load.
Could you please guide me on the following:
-
Is this likely a RouterBOOT or NAND failure?
-
Is there any recovery method available?
-
Can RouterBOOT be reinstalled via serial or any other procedure?
-
Does this indicate a hardware fault requiring repair?
Please advise on the next steps.
