I have been running this CCR2116 since around version 7.7 and have not had any issues. Recently I have noticed packet loss and performance issues where I have seen as much as 25% TX Drop rate on my LAN side interfaces from a CPE point of view.
Configuration is fairly simple with ATT XGS-PON for WAN in port 1 and ports 3/4 are in a bond with LACP to Cisco Nexus 9000 VSS stack. The configuration is all L3 with only a few simple ipv4/6 Firewall rules protecting the device and FastTrack for the forwarding of traffic.
I have only recently noticed the issues of packet loss and have simply tried to downgrade and restore configuration without any success. I have checked counters on the WAN port 1 and Switch PO with no port issues. I have tested many types of interface connections (currently DAC) but have included 10G-SR, AOC and the 6 speed copper interfaces. Additionally, I have tested these interface options to another Cisco Cat 9300 switch with the same results.
Resource loading seems accurate and no single core overloaded
Results of a speed test highlight the imbalance of the interface TX Drops of a symmetrical connection, local btest results typically 5.2gbps upload/download
Output of interface stats after a few minutes of traffic in CLI (missing data) and Winbox (about 22% loss)
Example TX Drops
