CCR2216 SFP interface's not responding

Hi all

We are running a 2216 as our BGP edge. It was running fine litterally for two weeks. Then on Friday it “hanged” - a reboot resolved the issue. The same issue occured last night. We managed to get onto the router via console and could see all SFP interfaces had no TX traffic and very high RX overflow counters. These cross connects go to multiple providers and swapping out patch leads and/or SFP’s does not resolve the issue.

THE ONLY interface that does work is ether1 - which I believe is not connected to the switch chip. We are running v7.10.1.

Auto-negoation is also in a failed state on all SFP interfaces, Moving to auto-negotiation off on both sides, does not help.

Auto-negotiation on SFP has been broken in OS7 on a lot of hardware it’s not specific to CCR2216

Hardware I have had the issue on PowerBox Pro, CCR2004, CCR1036, CCR2116

On the plus side at least the SFP leds default setup is correct unlike on OS6

However if it was auto-negotiation, one would think setting to manual 10Gbps on both sides would fix the issue. It does not. Also happens on ALL interfaces at the same time. Something to do with the switchchip hardware or the OS on top of it I think.

I have also been experiencing this issue
Interfaces are all running but no traffic being forwarded, even though it did work for at least a week

only management ethernet port works as per normal

From Mikrotik:

Hello,

Thank you for the report!

We have managed to reproduce the issue locally in our labs and look forward to fixing it on upcoming RouterOS versions, unfortunately, I cannot provide a release date now.

In the meantime, try disabling the IPv6 L3HW offloading.
