CD image not bootable

ROS 6.42.1 (CD image download)
APU3 computer

I downloaded and attempted to install the CD image to an embedded x86 board.

The CD image is readable and burns to CD and USB just fine. However, it will not boot and it does’t appear to be capable of booting (i.e. it’s not a bootable CD image)–the imaging software warns of that, and the computer also indicates that the CD isn’t bootable.

Am I missing a step when creating the CD or USB drive? Or should I be using another image for this?

I should probably note that i’ve booted a variety of other OSes off of this board–including FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Debian–so I know that the computer is working in that regard.
