Hi Guys,
We are looking to use either CeragonIP20E or Siklu 2200FX to link different points on the network together at 2Gbps. We currently run OSPF with eBGP for routing between all routers on the network.
In this case, both the Ceragon and the Siklu 2200FX have multiple 1Gbps Ethernet Ports, they dont have 10Gbps interfaces. In order to get the full potential out of a link what options do we have?
Should we setup a LAG between 2x ports on each router, can we still then run OSPF over the link?
This is something I have never done before and im looking for any advice people can provide.
Things we want to acheive.
- 2Gbps Point to Point link over 2x 1Gbs Ethernet interfaces
- Run OSPF between the 2 routers over the 2Gbps link.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Siklu 2200 comes with 4 x 1G ports (2 fiber, 2 copper). Yes, you can get the full 2 Gbps out of it. we are using balance rr bonding. You need to set the radio bridge mode to Pipe Unique FDB.
What does “unique FDB” mean?
Sorry for my ignorance.
Thanks.
It means each port has its own MAC forwarding database.
As opposed to a shared FDB between the ports.
What are you using to manage the radio? Are you using an additional port with a separate IP address? I was hoping to only run 2 lines to this siklu. I was looking at a /29. ex 192.168.0.0/29
X-MT 192.168.0.1
X-Siklu 192.168.0.2
Y-Siklu 192.168.0.4
Y-MT 192.168.0.3
Is there going to be a problem with this? If I loose one line will i still be able to mange the radio? or worse a loop? I know when I’ve done previous LACP bonding I’ve ran across some issues and had to have a separate line for management. Should I Vlan and have just 1 port of the bonded pair pick up the vlan?
