Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I’ve put a CF flash card (Adata Speedy 8GB) in a RB600 and I cannot get it to be recognized. I’ve tried both slots, and confirmed that the card is good by plugging it into a USB/CF adapter for my desktop. Does it need to be preformatted or something?
we tested some A-Data cards (8Gb and 16Gb) and they work great! I know some kingstons don’t work. Can you send us a link to the exact card you are using? Maybe there are different ones
we have tried A-Data Speedy 8GN CF and it is working fine.
Where exactly you want to use it? Maybe for Web-proxy cache, then you need to go into the web-proxy configuration and format it.
I was hoping for some more room for user-manager. The last board we tried the user-manager on, the logs filled the memory up rather quickly and userman stopped working.
Currently it isn’t possible to move the user-manager data-base to the CF, but it is on the todo list, so do not throw away your CF, we will have this feature soon ![]()
ok i just posted this on one more thread that the ether3 light starts to blink and the board doesnt boots when we insert the 8gb CF card ( transcend x133)…
anything we are doing wrong or do we have to do something in the hyperterminal at boot-up
thanks
