Simple bridged AP setup all Mikrotik interfaces in the whole network are bridged. The only difference is WDS station which is not bridged.
Internet----Freebsd router----MT1 AP all interfaces and WDS bridged ----- MT2 AP all interfaces except WDS station bridged ----- MT3 AP all interfaces except WDS station bridged.
I can login from the internet to MT1 and to MT2 with NAT IP and port forwarding or with public IP assigned to every box. I cant login to MT3 from Internet. I can login with Winbox to MT2 and telnet from there to MT3.
Everything is working except I cant winbox to THIRD box from WAN. However I can login to any MT from LAN.
I have the same problem with two of my clients configurations, I’ve made some tests and it seems that third box is not working… (cannot ping) with this configuration:
I tried with 2.9.7, 2.9.8, 2.9.11, 2.9.24 it’s always the same impossible to ping the third WDS hops (really anoying when the THIRD is the internet gateway or DHCP server)
Working fine when connecting directly to LAN port of MKT1, it’s only form WLAN card…
Tried with different boxes, wireless cards, frequencies, b,G, always the same… ARP seems to resolve correctly…
Somebody form Mikortik team can do some tests please ?
