Change Winbox Port how to?

Hello,

I have a unit that uses port 80 to access it, I am doing port forward to that unit in my lan. Since it uses port 80 and cannot change that port on the unit, how can I change the port for the winbox?

/ ip service
set www port=> 80 > address=xxx.xxx.xxx.0/24 disabled=no
(80 to 2 to 65535)

Use secure mode in WNBOX login

Winbox uses only 8291 TCP port number (you are not able to change it).
RouterOS router’s webpage and other management tools are accessble via 80 (to change them use ‘/ip service’).

why you don’t modify the winbox and add option that allow as to change winbox port
that add security of winbox i think

it is post from year 2006 :smiley: . Now you can change port in IP / Services /Winbox / port
