Changes need to be rebooted??

Ok so I have a question does the Mikrotik router need to be rebooted to make the changes take properly??

as in if I’m mucking with configurations settings like security or FT and or the likes do I need to reboot for the caps and router to take the settings correctly??
I’m chasing an issue and I can’t seem to find why it is doing it and I can’t stop it from happening
just so you know or are interested
I keep getting a mac all ways the same trying to authenticate but fails like every couple of seconds

this is the debug info from wireless

I get a cap sometimes as well doing it

seems to be the 2.4g 99% of the time that this happens on
I did a complete new install on the router after doing a netinstall then installed 7.17rc1 (have updated to rc2 still doing it)

My current network is (all Running 7.17Rc2)
Hapax3 as the main router
lan1 wan
lan2 Capax
lan3 Capax
lan4 Hapax2 as a Cap
lan5 connected to a TP-Link Omada 24port managed switch (all lan devices run threw the switch)

i do get roaming but still getting
48:D6:D5:64:A9:F3@cap-wifi3-Hallway-2.4Ghz disconnected, connection lost, signal strength -59
any thoughts pls

Certain settings require a reboot, for instance IPv6 ND/SLAAC configuration. I don’t believe any of the Wireless/CAPsMAN settings do, but on the other hand it won’t hurt either.

Another observation; if you’re expecting full production stability from a beta or even RC version, that’s unfortunately quite naive. Stick with the stable branch unless you specifically want to test something mentioned in the changelog. And if you do run beta or RC version, you should expect things to not always act as you think they will.

And finally, please post your config if you need input on it.
