I am running routerOS on a Dell Latitude C640 laptop. The native display of the laptop is ~1280X1024, thus the CLI of routerOS is only using a small fraction of the physical display area. Hence, if I change the CLI resolution to 40 or 50 linesX80, the text gets quite crunched and hard to see (with my old eyes at least). The Dell rep’s have no idea how to change the default screen resoultion if the OS is anything other than Windows. Does anyone know of a way to change the laptop default resolution so that the entire display would be utilized or is there a hidden control in routerOS to force usage of the entire physical screen using the CLI?
Check for a “screen stretch” setting in the Dell BIOS.
Thanks for responding, GotNet, but no such setting exists in the BIOS.
