I’ve got an LHGG LTE6 Kit connected to a GrooveA 52ac, and thanks to the help in this thread it’s largely working.
I’d like to move both devices from 192.168.188.0/24 and 192.168.88.0/24 respectively to 172.16.188.0/24 and 172.16.88.0/24, so my feeble brain doesn’t hurt so much when I eventually get a VPN connection to my home network working.
I naïvely tried to just change the Local Network settings in Quick Set, particularly IP Address, and DHCP Server Range.
The GrooveA works just fine - I change the settings, reconnect, and my laptop is assigned something on 172.16.88.0/24. Both my laptop and the GrooveA can ping the LTE on 172.16.188.1, and get responses. But when I try curling the LTE’s WebFig, I see syn packets going out from my laptop and nothing coming back.
What have I missed? If ICMP works but TCP doesn’t, I’m guessing it’s some sort of NAT issue? I’m guessing that it can’t be routing, because routing would affect all protocols?
