Changing the RF Connector of Metal 2SHPn

Hello,

I am using the Metal 2SHPn product for a UAV application, but the metal is too heavy to fit on the Aircraft along with its N-Type connector.
I wanted to know :

  1. If it is possible to mount it on the UAV without the heat sink ?

  2. Can we remove the N-type connector & use any other smaller connector, such as SMA with the same power ratings ?
