I am having a problem where a chart/link that is mapping an interface will switch from charting one source to charting another. This often happens in times of network stress when the device being monitored has close to 100% cpu. It is very frustrating. I have to go back to every link and make sure that it is mapping the right interface, sometimes it changes complete devices daily. Has anyone else seen this. I have tried creating a new instance of dude and problems persist. This has happened since at least 3.0 but now I have a lot more devices being monitored, and is very frustrating.
I have seen the problem. It rarely happens but occasionally I will find a link that has changed from the one I wanted to record to something seemingly random. Note: I am not charting any links.
Are you running lots of probes against the devices that are maxing their CPU?
It may happend due to SNMP interface index changes. It can be changed when switch reboots.
