Quick question I couldn’t find a definitive answer on:
Does the Chateau 5G ax have internal antennas so that it can be used without any external antennas attached to it?
Exact model: S53UG+M-5HaxD2HaxD-TC&RG502Q-EA
Thanks!

Product brochure says:
We’ve made massive improvements to the wireless radio and antennas. Chateau 5G ax supports MIMO 4x4 on 5G and LTE. There are 6 built-in LTE/5G antennas. One pair of external antennas provides even better wireless network coverage in the largest homes, and the other - improved LTE/5G connectivity.
So it’s not entirely clear what function do have the external 4 antennas … one interpretation would be that one pair is for LTE/5G (not clear which part of spectrum they would cover, frequencies below 1.5GHz would sound logical to me, but I’m not MT hardware engineer) and one pair for WiFi (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz are specced as 2x2MIMO a.k.a. 2 chains, so both could be served by single pair of wide-band antennas).
The way I read brochure, device can’t be used without external antennas attached. But I might be wrong.

The Chateau Ax Is also talked about and there are actual photos.
The external antennas are needed, there is also a yellow sticker to that effect.
