Chateau 5G R17 AX - external antenna ports?

Hi, I have a Chateau R17 AX and am curious what the ANT1-ANT4 ports are on the back under the plastic cover. If I look into them I see something that looks like a connector. However, other wires sometimes go through the hole (if I shake the R17 itself).

Are those supposed to be cellular or WiFi antennas? If 5G, are those just blanks or are they functional? Considering this is the highest end Chateau I can buy right now I would hope they are actual ports.

Thanks.

If you disassemble the device to install external antennas,
those are the holes designated for attaching the external connectors, detaching the internal antennas.

some example:

Ah, I see. Any ideas if doing this could affect the device warranty? I mean the holes in the plastic are there, so it implies the feature is at least semi-intended.

Edit: Just noticed only LTE models allow ROS settings for external antenna, not 5G models

No,
if you open it, you can install external antennas for any model.
