Chateau PRO ax audible noise

Hi everyone,

I just got a brand new Chateau PRO ax, I'm in mid-30 with good/excellent hearing, me and wife are both musicians and we don’t hear a thing, but my mother-in-law swear she hears a high pitch noise from it and it’s triggering her tinnitus.

I understand coil whine might be the problem, but I wonder if anyone else had the same experience/problem on this model and variants?

Yeah coil whine is a thing, not heard it on any of my ax gear though I don't have the Castle Pro.
But have heard lots of storys about coil whine in Network gear. Will they not swap it, the distributer ?

I hear very strange noise from inside my new hap ax3. It looks like a working of small fan (but as I know there isn't fan). It not a very loud, from distance over 40-50cm it unheared totally. In that case the OP managed to point it down to the 2.4 GHz radio, but of course it may happen on a coil on any section of the board.

mother-in-law swear she hears a high pitch noise

Since majority of people loose ability to hear higher frequencies with age, I wonder how sensible was your MIL's hearing when she was young? Or did she (or better: her ears) avoid ageing?
