Hi all.
I have a small question. Is there any way to disable check-gateway? (RB450g, ROS 5.03)

I didn’t think that it was a hard question =/
If there is no such option then could it be done in next versions?

“check-gateway” isnt on by default. if it is, you turned it on, just turn it off. i think many people thought it was such a simple question they didnt respond, although in reality im guessing you didnt ask the right question. please explain more.

Ok. there is a check-gateway option in /ip route for each route. In 5.03 it can be set to “arp” and “ping” and I can’t find any way to disable it for all routes or just for one (it’s on by default as I see). May be it can be turned off somehow in global but I don’t know how exactly.

IMHO you are trying to disable ‘check-gateway’ option for dynamic routes.
AFAIK is not possible.

It’s the same for static and dynamic.

Check twice, there is no problem to disable this option for static routes.

I’m sorry. Probably I was wrong. Check-gateway option can be disabled in /ip route nexthop. I thought it can be turned off in ip route for each route.
