Chose cloud for Mikrotik CHR

Dear all,
How are you?
I want to host Mikrotik CHR on cloud
Which cloud service is best ?

Regards

I think there is no universal answer to your question. It depends on your location, cloud location, throughput, budget, etc.

I just want to know the AWS, Digital Ocean, LightNode, or Google Cloud which is best for Mikrotik CHR.?

I don’t have CHR experience with AWS, Digital Ocean, LightNode, or Google Cloud.
I can personally recommend:

  • Vultr (by default they have UEFI but it can be changed and CHR runs fine), they even can provide you with free BGP (of course if you have an ASN). Have a lot of locations ww. Starting price for dual stack is from 5 USD MRC.
  • iFog, can provide you with free BGP (of course if you have an ASN). Have a lot of locations ww. Starting price for dual stack is from 4 CHF MRC.

And keep in mind that you need a CHR license, free trial is limited to 2 month iirc (you can find a cheaper price for CHR licence via Mikrotik partners).

I am using many CHRs in Azure without any issue.

How to change it!? help... please)

why people even didn’t tried to google a bit…

Choose a previous version FreeBSD template then mount the systemrescue ISO and install according to the instructions.

I’ve hosted Mikrotik CHR on Google Cloud, and it’s been a smooth experience for me. The setup was quick, and it’s been reliable in terms of uptime and performance. The flexibility to scale resources as needed made it easier to manage traffic spikes without worrying too much about server issues.

One thing I liked was the cost. I managed to find a 5% discount on Google Cloud services, which helped keep expenses down as my needs grew. You can check out Google Cloud Pricing for more details on discounts and plans depending on your region and usage.
