I have an Orange FTTP line configured in ONT mode, and I’m using a CHR router in Hyper-V.
The configuration should be straightforward to receive the public IP: configure VLAN 832, add it to the interface, and set up the DHCP Client to obtain the IP.
Things I’ve tested and confirmed:
Without the ONT, the Orange Livebox router does provide an IP, so I rule out any cabling issues.
The Ethernet cable is connected to the GE4 port (WAN port) of the Orange router.
Question:
Could it be that the virtual switch or the physical switch where Hyper-V is connected needs to have a VLAN configured?
